The Beauty Exchange Awards is the only hair competition in the Caribbean that allows professional hairstylist represent their self and country in a prestigious hair battle. Produced by Supreme Hair, The Beauty Exchange Battle is celebrating its 4th year of honoring talented and creative artists the Caribbean.
 
Stylist will create styles that embody and personify ROYAL BEAUTY & GLAMOUR FROM AROUND THE WORLD.

The fee for this competition is $100.00

This competition will take place on Sunday December 2nd, 2018 at the Llyod Erskine Sandiford Center in Bridgetown,Barbados

20 Contestants from the Caribbean will compete against each other to showcase their ability to create new beautiful styles using Supreme Hair.

Description

  • 1. A nationwide competition that is open to all professional hair stylists without brand
    affiliation.
  • 2. Complete entries must include application form and registration fee receipt.
  • 3. Application forms are available in official Supreme registration locations in the Caribbean
    and on facebook.com/supremehairus, and on the registration page.
  • 4. Registration Fee can be paid online at www.hairomg.com/hairbattle
  • 5. Entries May be Submitted October 10th – November 10th through the following options:
    – Personally submit in any official Supreme registration location in the Caribbean.
    – Email submission to ravenforsupreme@gmail.com
  • 6. Contestants must provide their own airfare/transportation to Barbados for contest.
  • 7.Hotel Accommodations will be provided for Registered competitors located outside of Barbados from November 29th- December 1st. ( Check In- December 1st / Check Out- December 1st).
  • 8. Top 15 Qualifiers will be announced on November 15 th via the Supreme Hair Facebook page.
  • 9. Competition will be held at the Lloyd Erskine Sandiford Center on December 1, 2019 in Bridgetown, Barbados . All participants must participate in show run-through on November 29th , 2019.
  • 10.The SPONSORS RESERVE THE RIGHT to require a minimum number of competitors.  There must be a minimum of 16 contestants by the start of the competition.  If there are NOT 16 contestants at the start of the competition, prizes/prize money will be negotiated.

 

Theme: Supreme Seasons 

Competition Rules:Stylists will create 4 different looks representing 4 seasons, Summer, Spring, Winter, and Fall Collection.

Show Guidelines- Each Stylists will create 4 different looks representing 4 seasons, Summer, Spring, Winter, and Fall Collection.  We ask that no hair be used for wardrobe, only for the final hairstyle.

  1. By paying the entry fee, you are agreeing to all the General Rules and Regulations and the individual rules of this competition listed below.

  2. The use of Cell phones should be kept to an emergency only minimum. Photos are allowed but with HIGH CAUTION as you may capture someone and something that wishes not to be photographed and posted on social media.

  3. The competition is open to any Professional Cosmetologist.

  4. Competitor agrees to appear on site at the required CHECK-IN time or risk point deduction and/or Possible disqualification for non adherence to the time requirements. Our competitions are viewed on Main stage and have extensive Run of Show obligations. Tardies are heavily penalized. There will be NO REFUNDS issued for disqualifications due to tardies or absences.

  5. This competition is limited to legally Female models ages 18 and older.

  6. It is the responsibility of the competitor to read and understand the General Rules and Regulations.

  7. By participating in this Contest, all entrants and models irrevocably and forever agree to release, defend, indemnify and hold harmless Supreme Hair and their respective parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, and each of their respective officers, directors, employees, and agents (collectively, the “Released Parties”) from and against any claim, liability, injury, damage, death, loss, expense, or cause of action arising out of participation in the Contest or acceptance, receipt, travel related to, inability to use, or use of any prize.  Entry and/or acceptance of prize(s) constitutes permission for the Sponsor and their agencies to use the participating entrants’ and models’ name, address (city and state) and/or likeness for advertising and trade purposes without further compensation or authorization, worldwide and in perpetuity, in any and all forms of media, now known and hereafter devised, including without limitation Internet, unless prohibited by law.

  8. No Children under 12 are allowed on the exhibit floor, back stage or in the area for this competition.

  9. Competitors may enter two models. However, Supreme Hair is providing one model per contestant.

  10.  NO additional time will be given for additional models in the prep room. All creations must be completed for both models in the time allotted. NO ADDITIONAL TIME WILL BE GIVEN IN PREP ROOM OR ON STAGE.

  11. Report to the competition area with your model’s hair rolled and/or molded and dried. Arrive with makeup/wardrobe arranged. There is only 1 hour allowed for prep time.

  12. All hairpieces and postiches can be totally completed. They are to be positioned and attached on the models head in the prep room during the prep time.

  13. Competitor will provide all materials, attire, hair, tools, and equipment needed for the completion of this finished look.

  14. Hairpieces and postiches can be pre-done and brought on site for attachment during prep time.

  15. Make-up and clothes must compliment the hairstyle. Judging will include the total look from head to toe. Please be complete in every area.

  16. Contestant and models must remain until the judges’ decisions are announced.

  17. Only the Competitor and Model are allowed in the Competition Room during Prep time.

  18. Competitor and model may do the make-up. The model is not allowed to assist with any portion of hair completion. Only holding the hairpiece for pinning is allowed.

  19. Only make-up artist, wardrobe specialist  is allowed in the preparation room. The viewing show attendees will be allowed to see all creations on main stage.

  20. Any method of setting, gels, fixatives and coloring agents may be used to achieve the finished hairstyle.  Hairpieces and postiche must be completed prior to coming on site to be attached during the prep time. All ornamentation and head pieces must be attached to the hairstyle during the designated time visibly before the committee.

  21. Judging will be done on a visual basis only. Your creation will not be disassembled.

  22.  Body Art is allowed with ABSOLUTELY NO nudity. ALL GENITALIA  MUST BE COVERED OR RISK BEING DISQUALIFIED.

  23. This is a competition.  Judging will include hair, headdress, clothing, make-up, nails, and accessories.  Entries will be judged on the total appearance of Total Look. Please make sure that you are complete in every area.

  24. No live animals, reptiles, or fish are allowed as props.

  25. Hair ornaments must be made of 85% hair.  The entire design must be made of 85% hair. (Human or synthetic hair of any color).

  26. The finished style must be part of the model’s total look. The hairstyle and attire must compliment each other.  The attire must tie-in with the hairstyle and  theme.

  27. The artist/competitor must sign and submit the official entry application agreeing with the Rules and Regulations and the required fee(s). Also competitor and model must sign a liability waiver. In doing so, the competitor agrees to abide by the decision of the judges.

  28. The SPONSORS RESERVE THE RIGHT to require a minimum number of competitors.  There must be a minimum of 16 contestants by the start of the competition.  If there are NOT 16 contestants at the start of the competition, prizes/prize money will be negotiated.

  29. ALL COMPETITORS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR THEIR OWN PERSONAL BELONGINGS!!! Supreme Hair will not be responsible for lost or stolen items. NO Exceptions!

  30. NOTICE: If a competitor has wins  1st place in this Beauty Exchange Competition, he/she may not enter this competition again for 2 years after the winning year. However, he/she may enter any of the other Supreme Hair  competitions at any time.
